Train children in the right way,
and when old, they will not stray. ~ Proverbs 22:6
And, parents, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. ~ Ephesians 6:4
People were bringing even infants to him that he might touch them; and when the disciples saw it, they sternly ordered them not to do it. But Jesus called for them and said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of God belongs. Truly I tell you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will never enter it. ~ Luke 18:15-17
Who can argue that our children are a gift from God? As Christians, we are bound to raising them to be productive, Christian adults. It is not a duty to be taken lightly and, as the quotes above demonstrate, is possibly the most difficult job you will ever face.
Raising your children to love the Lord and to bring the Light forward into their adulthood requires prayer, study, and guidance on your part. Your children are a precious charge, don't let them down.
